Melanie is running as a Republican candidate for State Senate District 43.  She is a 36-year resident of DeKalb County, and is originally from Gainesville, Ga. Melanie is a single mother of one son, and her son graduated from a DeKalb County High School.  Melanie has attended Savannah State College, and Columbia Southern University where she has obtain degree hours of completion for an Associate Degree and will  complete her  Bachelors' and Master's degree from Oral Roberts University this summer 2022.  Melanie holds a Georgia Real Estate License and has worked in multi-family  property management for over 25 years. Melanie is excited to serve  District 43 which includes:

DeKalb County: Lithonia, Stonecrest

Rockdale County: Conyers

Newton County: Covington, Porterdale, Oxford

Gwinnett County: Loganville Hwy
